Remember GX: Pingdi Yao

Clustered on the northeast border of Guangxi, overflowing into the neighboring provinces of Guangzhou and Hunan, the Pingdi people are part of the greater Yao minority group. Centered in the mountainous township of Lipu, the the Pingdi are rarely visited by outsiders. As a result, they have minimal interaction with other people groups who could share with them.

The Pingdi are dedicated to their own ethnic religion, though their Yao culture has blended significantly with majority Han culture. In the ancient past, the Yao had a legend of a creator and a flood. Followers sharing with the Yao could start with the story of the Creator.

Pingdi believers are often viewed as strange by their community. Let’s pray they would overcome social obstacles by being supernaturally transformed into loving disciples.

Anyone belonging to Ch has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! So we are JC’s ambassadors; G is making his appeal through us. 2 Cor 5:17,20
