Northern GX Zhuang

In northern GX, many elderly Zhuang believers have had little access to educational and spiritual resources. As a result, they have not received adequate teaching or training. Even after coming to faith, many lack the ability and awareness to share the good news with others.

“But you will receive power when the HS comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 NIV)

  Pr for the spiritual growth of the Zhuang body in northern Guangxi. May the HS work mightily among them, enabling them to live out the life of JC and influence their neighbors, so that the good news may spread through them.

What does God see when he looks at you? It is an important question and I am sure a few different answers went through your head. Kyle Brooks recently took on a common phrase in the church and unpacked how it leads us off what is actually true…

“When God looks at you, he doesn’t see you. He sees Jesus.”

“The only problem?

It’s not true.

It isn’t biblical.

It leads to profound misunderstanding of God’s character.

It keeps us stuck in shame.”

“Well, here’s my most charitable interpretation. In an age of soundbites and hot takes, Christian speakers, writers, and influencers feel serious pressure to condense heady theological doctrine into simple, emotionally relatable terms. What is the doctrine in this case? The imputation of Christ’s righteousness.”
